ST. SAVA'S NEW COVID-19 GUIDELINES Guidelines
On Thursday our Governor lifted Covid restrictions but many health experts are saying that the pandemic in Arizona is far from over and that we should still continue personal COVID-19 fundamentals like wearing a mask, physical distancing, staying home when sick and washing your hands frequently. With the Easter holidays approaching, we have seen an increase in attendance for Liturgy every week and we are extremely thankful for this. However, your Church Board feels that with this increase in attendance that we should still require masks in enclosed public spaces. Our first priority is to keep all of you safe and healthy. We have all managed to conform the past year so we ask that you continue for just a few more weeks. We will be opening up all rows of pews to accommodate the greater number of people attending. Because of this, your Board feels it is still very important that we all keep our masks on out of love and consideration toward our elderly and others that may be immunocompromised and still in danger. Thank you all for your understanding and for following our St. Sava guidelines.
We thank God that this year the pandemic is getting better and we will be able to serve all Lenten, Passion Week and Easter services. We will have a change in some of the times the Services are being held during Passion Week and for Easter. Please continue to follow this email for those changes and you will be receiving a card in the mail announcing all services also.
As in the past 12 months, we kindly ask that you do not attend Liturgy and other services if you are not feeling well. We have gone a full year with no one being affected by Covid-19 while on Church property and we would like to see this continue.
We also ask that you be respectful to those individuals in the Church that give their time to see that no one does get sick. Please follow their guidance when it is time to receive Communion and Nafora.
Lastly, we have started to allow groups to prepare light lunches to be served in the Social Hall following Liturgy on Sundays. We had many individuals express their need and desire for fellowship with their Church family. We ask that if you participate in these lunches that you treat the Social Hall as if you were attending any local restaurant during this time. Masks must be worn while you are moving about in the hall and can only be taken off while you are seated and eating your food.
With God watching over us, together we will all get through this pandemic safely and healthy.
Even though our Church is open for services, Divine Liturgy will be live streamed every Sunday at 10:00 am for those of you that are unable to attend. Please keep in mind that this is temporary and Liturgy will only be streamed during this pandemic.
To participate in the services that will be live streamed from our Church, go to our Parish Facebook page (СПЦ Св. Сава Феникс, Аризона - St. Sava) and look for the link. If you do not have a Facebook account you can still go to our Facebook page and when asked to sign in or join you can just click "not now" and proceed to St. Sava's Facebook page and look for the live stream.
YOUR GIVING STILL MATTERS!
As we continue to serve our Parish during this uncertain time, we very much appreciate your continued prayer, support and financial contributions.
Thank you for your generosity!
